No, this isn't the famous PC-FPS from 1998, this is a great action game that was released 8 years earlier on the Amiga.
UNREAL actually is two games in one where 3D flight sequences like in SPACE HARRIER take turns with 2D jump'n'run sequences. You start the game on the back of a dragon and fly 3D-like into the depth of the screen over a very nice and fast animated landscape. Don't only avoid touching all the trees, rocks and bushes but also fight all the huge animals that come in your way like mammoths, polar bears and dinosaurs.
The platformer sections are equally as great: armed with a sword you slash your way through hordes of tigers, snakes, birds, mantis and carnivorous plants, avoiding all the traps, spears and falling rocks.
The varied gameplay combined with the top-notch graphics, the excellent soundtrack, the fair learning curve and the precise controls all add up to an exciting gaming experience.
